(Gearlust to follow, but thanks to anyone praying for ISRAEL this week – Iran get’s the finishing touch from Russia on their Nuclear sites THIS SATURDAY – August 21, 2010, which would effectively end a lot of things for a lot of people – including us. Also, please pray for the production of Nefarious: Merchant of Souls, a movie that will rock the prayer world as well as any abolitionist activists who see it – pray for the 1st Assistant Director who has a ton of work to do, pray for the child actors (re-enacting child sex slavery worldwide), that God will protect their hearts and give strong salvation to them in the process of intercessory acting, for the Director who has finished casting and is now working with the art department for the look of the re-enactments – and pray for protection against spiritual attacks, for wisdom to recognize attacks and strength to stand against them.)
So! RED has this cookin’ right now: A few pics and a price sheet to contemplate in your planning over the next year to buy a camera.
1st the Epic. Shown (left) as it is being produced. This thing is upgradeable to like 90 megapixels in the future but currently rolls at 120 fps at 5K and 220 fps. The whole RED thing, of course to provide WAY more than what we currently know as “High Definition” and WAY more than the “2K” resolution Spielberg and Lucas used to be content using. We’re talking 3K, 5K… up to like 24K (that’s seeing a fly’s eyes from a like half a mile out)… Anyhoo.
The Scarlet is a little less powerful, but still WALLOPS HD and 2k!

There you’ll find Letters to God and To Save A Life, two of the biggest Christian movies that will come out this year, both released a matter of days ago.
“Both cost millions to make and market, with huge distribution companies behind them and loads of support from all over. Then you have The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry. That’s Rich Christiano’s new film, another huge seller this year and probably one of the biggest Christian movies of the year as well. Then sitting at #5 you have a film called STANDING FIRM, a film that was made in the bedroom of a naive and inexperienced (now) 22 year old kid who felt a calling (an 18 year old at the start), cast/crew’d by a slew of passion filled volunteers, and a wealth of support on all levels by folks in the community and all over the internet. The film isn’t even out yet, it has 10 days to go. THAT’S MY GOD!”
